Multi-Instrumentalist Tommaso Cappellato Follows His 'Aforemention' LP With A BTS Look At The Making Of The Album Entitled 'Aforemention: In Conversation.'

Days removed from the debut of his 9-track Aforemention LP on Mark de Clive Lowe’s Mashibeats Records, Tommaso Cappellato returns with Aforemention: In Conversation directed by Emanuele Wiltsch Barberio. The latest since the Okayplayer premiere of the official video for “Team Ball” featuring Victor Lewis, the short documentary clip combines interview and performance footage to provide a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the breathtaking solo project. The byproduct of over 70 recorded sessions, Aforemention speaks to the freedom with which Cappellato creates as a multi-instrumentalist and stands as a rhythmic homage to his musical instructors in South America, Africa and New York City.

Looking back at what inspired me the most in life teaches me how to inspire others. Aforemention is my humble dedication and tribute to Afro-centric music and its leaders of yesterday, today and tomorrow. What I’d like people to get from this album is a sense of freedom in expression and somehow, hope – if ever that could come from music.”
